Cameroon and World Flavors Festival 2022

The first edition of the Cameroon and World Flavors Festival is in preparation. In January 2022, all the culinary flavors of the world meet in Cameroon. This is the announcement that was made on Thursday, December 9, 2021, in the hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The organizing committee led by the Director of Tourism Promotion in Cameroon Mfouapon Allassane held a meeting with the heads of diplomatic representations in Cameroon, who will take part in this festival. After the success of the test edition held in 2021, from May 25 to 29, we had to get down to business. It is for this reason that this first edition was born and took place simultaneously at the Bois Sainte Anastasie and at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé. Several features on the program: Press Conference, Welcoming Dinner, Gourmet Walk, Chefs' Dinner, Training Workshop, Waiters' Race, Symposium, Round Table, Health and Diet, Recipe of the Day, Festival Village, Closing Party . The Festival of Flavors of Cameroon and the World is an initiative of Crespac which aims to make Cameroon a culinary destination of choice at the international level through the promotion of Cameroonian cuisine.

 

Belibi Tsala President of Crespac explains the real reasons for the chosen period. “Innovation comes to us directly from the CAN. We have 24 countries present, we are here to reaffirm the commitment of the Cameroonian authorities. You know, the festival takes place under the high patronage of the Prime Minister head of government, coordinated by the Minister of Tourism and Leisure, we organize with all these authorities."

For the Director of Tourism Promotion, Mr. Mfouapon, these settings are not trivial. “We aimed to meet diplomatic missions, international organizations and talk to them about the main aspects of the festival and also interest them more, especially to solicit their major mobilizations."

It is with great pride that the SCOOPS-FBE, from January 08 to 15, 2022, made available its Sahel Reserve (red, rosé and white cashew wines), to accompany the most succulent dishes of Cameroon and of the world.
