On April 27, 2021, the Minister of State launched the Open Days of the IUT of the University of Ngaoundéré. A 2-day event that showcases the know-how of the students of this higher education institution in the Adamoua region. SCOOPS-FBE responded to this occasion, demonstrating its innovation in the agro-food sector in Cameroon by presenting a variety of cashew-based products. It is with joy that Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo, Minister of State, tasted one of the very first cuvées of the Réserve du Sahel, a cashew-based wine.
The university institution prides itself on other innovations in the food industry, such as chocolate sweetened with dates, fish sausage, wines and spirits made from local fruits, the livestock tracking system, the decapping machine, etc. . These various innovations are part of the vision of the public authorities which, for several years now, have been emphasizing the professionalization of teaching “so that the country produces what it consumes or consumes what it produces”.
